HSE Manager Job In Abu Dhabi – ADNOC

Job Description:

Exercises an advisory role to Projects Division Management on HSE aspects of activities.
Ensures provision of adequate HSE awareness for Projects Division personnel on ADNOC Group HSE rules, regulations and standards and monitors effectiveness of their implementation across the ADNOC UDR Projects.
Management and professional development of assigned Projects HSE personnel including recruiting, and oversight of PMC HSE Personnel (as their functional line manager) in conjunction with Project Management (as their operational line management).
– Monitors compliance of contractors with ADNOC Group HSE requirements through effective implementation of HSE assurance programs.
– Review HSE prequalification applications submitted for contractors/vendors for UDR Projects to ensure compliance with ADNOC Group Procedures / requirements.
– Review ADNOC UDR Projects related tenders’ scope of work to determine tender’s HSE requirements in consultation with the contract administrator/end user and prepare HSE-related contract documents/clauses.
– Compile Project HSE Team’s budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved budget levels.
– Monitor the definition of the Project HSE Team members’ Individual Performance Objectives that will support the achievement of Divisional KPI’s, establish monitoring mechanisms to support delivery of these objectives and promote a performance driven culture.
– Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Project HSE Team that will best utilise human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.
– Promote an organisational culture that encourages innovation, enhances employee motivation and supports initiatives towards continuous improvement of Project HSE Team’s delivery.


Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Engineering / HSE, or equivalent.
15 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries, with at least 6 years’ experience in a lead HSE position leading teams of HSE professionals.
Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioural aspects in the Oil & Gas EPCI business.

– Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
– Quick and sound decision making and judgement.
– Mandatory requirement – NEBOSH General Certificate in OSH or equivalent
– Fluency in oral and written English language.
– Able to lead and manage people.
– Data analysis and report writing skills.
